Stalemates are stale, mate

I suppose Matt Belanda was right in his prediction of 0-0 for the last group C game between Argentina and Holland. Personally I thought it was a bit of a snoooozathon.

I guess we can't always expect things to go like this (below), but let's look at it again, anyway:

Beautiful, innit?

It was great seeing Diego lead the cheers for his boys in those Argentina games. This piece of behaviour on the German
autobahn however, was puzzling.

Hey Diego, apa bikin daa...?

In Germany, you aren't allowed to do this when driving

There was about 24-25 passed being string together before that came through. They didnt just power forward - they were comfortable and tekan slowly..... then BAM!

It was mega. I was watching in Broadwalk in Phileo 1, and the place went berserk. Lots of Argie fans were there........

The commentator was right..... they'll be playing this in training manuals over and over again!!!!!!!!

MARRRVELLLOUSSSSSS!!!

If they don't win it this year, the best team didn't win, IMO. They should go all the way, even past germany, Brazil and the rest...................

!K M Phang: Very comfortable indeed, my man... comes from years of playing together and being BLOODY GOOD!

!Shabby: Your predictions lari, bro... apa jadi?

The game failed to live up to its hype, maybe because both teams have nothing to play for except to determine the top 2. Argentina were overelaborating in certain bits and the Dutch just lack the creative spark.

Will the Italians prevail against Czech tonight? They DEFINITELY will if they elbow both Rosicky and Nedved out of the game. Brilliant gameplan.

Yayy i wasnt the only one who found it boring

thanks to the japs - we had a good brazilian game ;) n ronnies back yayyyyys

!Daniel: Pity the Italians got through, I would rahter have had Ghana and Czech Rep instead. 11 against 11 I think Czechs would have got something.

Keropok's fahter said: "Poor Czekoslovakia... they should be in the next round, they should strip Italy of all the points for bad play and the scandal".

Someone should tell Papa they are no more known by that name...

!Visithra: I missed the Brazil game. Wasted sleep on the Arg v Hol the night before. Too bad for me eh...

I had a hunch the arg game was gonna be like their first one - plus after seeing 2 holland games ahve had enough of bore safe footie -

it was good to see ronaldo back scoring his magic - will have to thank the japs for waking the giants - and those fellas can really run

!Visithra: Yes good to see Ronaldo back, and I'm happy to see him beat Muller's all time goals record (now equal at 14 I think). Ronaldo's record will take something special to beat it...

But he has put on some weight la... He's not an outright fatty / gundu, but I'm sure a few minutes a day on the OSIM i-Gallop would help :)

Ever realised - ronaldo is very attuned to critics and reacts to them - i think we're gonna see some good play after this

lol men sure like that ad dont they ;p heheh

still, Ronnie is a bit slow. the only reason why he's still scoring is becoz everyone is feeding him.

another thing, do you notice that when Brazil scores, Ronnie hardly joins the huggin and celebration? unless he scores la.

by the way, what's wrong with Italy? i think they are stronger than Czech in every aspects. scandal is one thing, but the azzuri always goes stronger and stronger.

there was also scandal in Italy when they won it in 1982.

we could see a possible semi-final match between Argentina (if they beat Germany in quarter) and Italy. so finger crossed :)

I don't think the Czechs underestimated Ghana. The Ghanaians delivered a very early blow with the first goal, requiring the Czechs to come at them, without their best striker, Jan Koller.

!Visithra: LLOL, that iGallop ad, together with Hasbullah Awang on Hotlink and "Terima kasih pawa ruut" have done it for me!

!spiller: The semi-finals look delectable indeed. Possible Argentina (if they get past Germany, I think they will) against Italy, and Brazil against either Spain or France (I think they're getting their groove back).

*slurp*

!kickciggys, daniel: Ghana look very good and it was good organisation more than anything that egded the Czechs out. I have to say the Czechs were kinda all over the place, though.

Ghana now face Brazil, without Essien. I think they's give them a hard time, but I expect the Brazilians to edge this.
